Principles & Elements of Floral Design

This course develops skills in the design and arrangement of flowers, foliage, etc, for interior locations.  Students learn the history of floral design, how to identify flowers and plants and how to use them artistically as works of a living art form.  Also covered are the use of plants and flowers as positive environmental elements.  This technical course is designed to examine floral design in relation to contemporary designs, business practicees, and specialty items such as:  weddings, creativity, and careers in the floral industry.  Students can each ATC College Credit for taking this course)
